Just finished watching facing the giants (:
Even without the atmosphere and stuff, I'd say it was very good!
Just a quickie before I do my QT.
What sums it all up is that,
God is soo real, so tangible.
Sometimes we dread reading the bible or learning more of His word, because we seldom experience His works in our lives.
But the thing about doing QT (in general) is that, because He is just SO REAL,
We gotta learn more in order to keep up with His pace for us.
I mean, if we want to that is.
And learning doesn't become a pain, it's a joy!
Because we know that once we learn more, we know more.
And once we know more, we're more sensitive to Him whenever He moves.
I think this movie has totally refreshed me on so many things.
1) The commonly overlooked phrase
"With men, these are impossible. With God, all things are possible"
2)You gotta prepare your fields for rain.
- Once you ask for something, expect to receive it.
(When you expect to receive it, you would prepare yourself for it and not just sit and do nothing)
3)And most importantly, whatever you do, give your best to God.
Do it for Him. When he is ready, he'll shower his blessings down.
4) It's easy to lead when you're strong, but when you get weak, that's when it really shows, that's when you're really supposed to lead.
(not only about leading, but also in things that require perseverance)
I think this has reinforced the point about having faith.
I think faith is really a thing that fluctuates like crazy.. Haha.
Okay for me at least..
And faith is something that you gotta keep having to pull you through.
And you needa keep doing in faith, to practise your faith.
Otherwise, what faith have you?
Lastly, I'm just so touched (when watching the production of it)
Since it was a church production, the actors were all from the church itself.
The audiences etc etc.
And really, I'm so amazed at how each one of them supports their church so selflessly, even though it was really tough work.
How each one of them became part of that community and really grew in Christ such that they chose to be part of this production to glorify Him even more.
How none of them received a single penny from their efforts.
Or rather, how each of them didn't mind not receiving money for their time put in.
The death crawl scene?
The people were really in the hot sun, and they had many retakes etc (i mean throughout the whole movie)
By watching the production section, I myself already felt so pekchek.
And yet, they handled things so well, really putting everything into God's hands.
Praying before they start work, when they're tired.
And also, how their heartbeats can be felt, through this movie, and right here.
In a totally different location.
I just love how we may be seperated over parts of the world, but each and every one of us has that same heartbeat (and now I'm more sure of what that means haha),
that same passion for Christ.
I know how the coach felt when he was overwhelmed by God's goodness.
It might not be entirely the same, but the gist of it was there.
And it.is.sooo.coooool!!!!
Goodness, it really feels like a family.
If I imagine myself talking to them,
I think we'd all be able to clique so well.
It's like strangers on the outside, family on the inside.
Hahaha, seriously.
How can a greater Love than this, ever possibly exist?
And now I'm off to QT (:
(This post would be a nice one to read when I'm feeling down ^^)
